I painted the gourd purple and then applied a Varnish to it. The handle was
carved out of yellow cedar and then charred. A natural finish was applied on
top. The rattle is approximately a foot long and the handle is approximately an
inch and a half to two inches in diameter. each gourd rattle will sound
different due to the thickness of the gourd.
