The Enya-D (don't worry, snake not included) is a handcrafted low whistle in
the key of D Arabian. NB: This is a big whistle and is not recommended for
beginners. However, it features carefully offset tone holes to simplify
fingering and with the use of the 'pipers grip' the Enya-D can be played even
if you have relatively small hands. The hole offsets can be configured for
right or left handed players (or no offsets) and you can advise me which
version you prefer at checkout. The lowest hole is carefully positioned to be
played with your pinky and is surprisingly easy to reach, as shown in the
photos.

These whistles are tough, made from aluminum, wood and PVC. Features of the
Enya-D are:

* Unlike most Al whistles, the wall thickness is only 1mm, so it is nice and
light
* The Enya-D is tuneable, about +/- 30 cents.
* The mouthpiece is my well-proven PVC and wood design with the curved lip
giving a distinctive mellow and slightly 'breathy' tone
* They feature a small bell which helps improve the volume of the lower notes
of each octave
* Each whistle is carefully hand tuned to concert pitch A=440Hz, within the
limits of variable air temperature and how hard you blow.
* Range is at least two octaves, D4 to C6.
* My whistle has a very comfortable mouthpiece shape compared to many PVC or
aluminium whistles

NOTES:
* Since my instruments are handcrafted to order, the processing time will
depend on the number of orders, current workload and other factors such as
lockdowns. Check the estimated delivery time given by Etsy for the current

* Wooden parts are made from reclaimed timber, or from wood cut from my own
trees.
